Kelly Ryan is a member of the firm's Health Law and Government Relations Departments. Her practice focuses on representing health care facilities and providers before the New York State Department of Health. She conducts bill and budget analysis on various health care and health insurance topics, focusing on health and long-term care legislation.

Prior to joining Hinman Straub, Ms. Ryan served as Counsel to New York State Senator Marty Golden, Chair of the Senate Aging committee. Ms. Ryan also serves as an adjunct lecturer (Introduction to Irish Politics) at The College of St. Rose. While at Ohio State, she assisted in preparation of petitioner's brief for Cutter v. Wilkinson before the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Ryan is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. She is also a trustee of KIPP: Tech Valley Charter School and a member of the State Court Watch Advisory Board.
