Tracy R. Lloyd, a seasoned senior Legislative staff member with more than two decades of experience, has joined the Firm's Government Relations Department.

Prior to joining Hinman Straub Advisors, LLC, Tracy R. Lloyd worked for the New York State Senate Deputy Majority Leader, Senator Dean Skelos, serving as his Chief of Staff for the past several years. In that capacity, he was responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Senator’s Long Island and Albany offices.

Mr. Lloyd was also responsible for matters involving the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the Long Island Railroad and New York State Department of Transportation, concentrating specifically on the Five-year Capital programs of each agency. He was designated the senior advisor responsible for overseeing and assisting on the development of the last three MTA and NYS DOT multi-billion dollar capital programs.

During his tenure in the State legislature, he was involved in high-tech and bio-tech industry development through the Long Island Biotech Investment and Job Creation Program.

He also served as the point person to the Nassau County Executive, the County Legislature, the Town of Hempstead Supervisor and Board, City of Long Beach officials and to numerous village Mayors of Nassau County, Mr. Lloyd interacted regularly with local public officials. He was also a key strategist on numerous political campaigns and fundraisers, including Senate, Assembly and local campaigns throughout Long Island.

Mr. Lloyd brings twenty-six years of state and local government background to Hinman Straub. Throughout his career, he has been uniquely involved in numerous statewide legislative and budgetary matters as well as important local issues directly affecting Nassau County and its many local governments.
