JCOPE Proposes Outside Activity Regulations

The Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) is accepting public comments on proposed amendments to its regulations regarding ‘Outside Activities’ for state employees.

The regulations establish a notification and approval process for state employees who hold other jobs, or serve on the board of non-profit organizations.  They are intended to identify and avoid conflicts of interest between such activities and public employment.

JCOPE will accept comments on the proposed regulations through June 8th.
