New York City Clerk’s Lobbying Bureau Releases Annual Report

The New York City Clerk’s Lobbying Bureau, which is responsible enforcing the city’s Lobbying Law, has released its annual report.Top_ten_NYC_lobbyists_2014

The report reveals that $71.7 million was spent reported as being spent to influence city government in 2014, a 14.7% increase over what was reported in 2013. It‘s also interesting to note that the city’s top ten lobbyists received more than half of all of the lobbying compensation reported for 2014.

The report also notes that in 2015, the Lobbying Bureau will be revising a number of its rules, and will improve the functionality and user-friendliness of its e-Lobbyist system.
