Citizen Union Event to Focus on ‘Albany’s Corruption Problem’

New York City-based good government group Citizens Union is holding an educational forum on Monday, March 16, titled ‘Can New Yorkers Fix Albany’s Corruption Problem?

The event is free, and has a very interesting group of participants.

State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is the featured speaker, and a there will be a panel that will include:

  • Ellen Biben, former Executive Director of the Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE);
  • Richard Briffault, Chair of the NYC Conflicts of Interest Board and Former Moreland Commissioner;
  • Richard Brodsky, former member of the New York State Assembly;
  • Jennifer Rodgers, Executive Director of the Center for the Advancement of Public Integrity and former Assistant US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
