US Attorney to Get Moreland Commission Files

Today’s New York Times includes a must-read article regarding “an unusual rebuke” of Gov. Cuomo by U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Preet Bhahara. Mr. Bharara is questioning the Governor’s decision to end the work of the Moreland Commission to Investigate Public Corruption, and will take possession of all of the Moreland Commission case files. In the article, an unnmamed Moreland Commissioner complains of “meddling” by the Governor’s Secretary and Chief Counsel.
